Incorporated in 1940, Crawford Electric is a not-for-profit member-owned electric cooperative that provides energy services to residential, agricultural and commercial accounts in parts of six east-central Missouri counties (Crawford, Franklin, Washington, Gasconade, Jefferson and Dent). Crawford has more than 60 employees and serves more than 30,000 Missourians through about 21,500 meters and nearly 3,000 miles of distribution line. Located an easy 90-minute drive from St. Louis, we are in a growth area that still retains a ruggedly rural character, with a current density of about seven meters per mile. Our service area includes forested hills, open pastures and natural streams surrounding Interstate 44 southwest of St. Louis.

Service Territory Map

The co-op is divided into three geographical districts. The bylaws define the districts and are drawn to make sure that board members come from all sections of our service area. Each district contains a nearly-equal number of consumer-members.
