Our line workers undertake extensive and ongoing safety training, use special equipment and wear
personal protective devices when working around power lines. The best safety message for the general public is to NEVER touch a power line. You should stay at least 10 feet away from a power line at all times.
The Missouri Overhead Power Line Safety Act of the state statute requires you to make special arrangements with the utility whenever you have a need to work within 10 feet of our power lines in any direction. We will work with you to ensure your safety, either by de-energizing and grounding the line or taking other protective measures before you start your work.
