As a member of an electric cooperative, you have a key role. You choose fellow members to lead the cooperative. Beginning at 8 a.m. on Aug. 16, you can cast your ballot in this year’s director election online, through SmartHub or by mail. Early voting ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 16. Members who do not vote early can still cast their ballot in person from 8-10 a.m. at the annual meeting on Sept. 18.
Members vote for three directors, one from each of the co-op’s geographic districts. Candidate bios will be available by Aug. 16 on the co-op’s website, the online voting site and in the mail-in ballot packets. They also will be included in the official notice of the meeting in the September Rural Missouri magazine.
Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) will provide election services. Although there are several ways for members to submit ballots, each membership is entitled to only one vote. To ensure the integrity of the election, SBS will count only the first ballot received for any one membership.
Early voters who cast their ballots by Sept. 16 will be entered into a drawing for electric credit prizes. There are more than 50 chances to win. Electric credits range from $10 to $500.
